Center Stone Depending on the shape and type of gemstone being weighed, the weight will visually show itself differently. For example, a 1.00 ct. round diamond will measure around 6.5mm, and a 1.00 ct. round sapphire will measure around 6.0mm. This is due to the varying density of different gemstones.
Carat Weight Carat weight is the measurement of how much the diamond weighs. A metric carat is defined as 200 milligrams. Each carat can be divided into 100 ‘points.’ This allows for a very precise measurement to the hundredth decimal place. One carat will be shown as 1.00ct.
Diamond Quality Hearts On Fire has simplified the buying process by grouping the thier diamonds for diamond engagement rings into two, high-quality diamond categories: Sensational and Signature. A “sensational” serialized diamond, means your diamond is in the G, H color range and a “signature” serialized diamond is in the I, J color range. Both have VS1 to SI1 clarity.
